Rodney Martin, 77, of Delta died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born July 11, 1939, in Woodland, California, to William and Ella Watson Martin. He and Nancy Pannell were married July 11, 1997. Rodney proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1961. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading, painting and traveling...

Rodney Martin, 77, of Delta died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 11, 1939, in Woodland, California, to William and Ella Watson Martin. He and Nancy Pannell were married July 11, 1997.

Rodney proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1961. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading, painting and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Martin; three sons, Johnnie (Jenny) Martin, Ricky (Jodie) Latham and Mike (Becky) Latham; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister; other relatives; and friends.

The family will host a private memorial service.

Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
