Robert Stovall
Robert Lee Stovall, 92, of Whitewater died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Whitewater, son of Joseph Cannon and Elmina Isaac Stovall. He and Gladys Morris were married May 2, 1936, in Bowling Green, Mo. She survives.
Stovall served in the Army during World War II in late 1945. He retired from Anheuser-Busch in 1978 after 20 years of service and moved to Crump. He was a charter member of Lake Girardeau Assembly of God and served as a former deacon.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Robert C. Stovall of Chaffee, Mo., Harry Stovall of Hannibal, Mo., Ronald Stovall of Melbourne, Ariz., Dale Stovall of Troy, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Craft of Whitewater; Glenda Gregory of Crump; Ruth Baker of Weldon Springs, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, nine brothers and seven sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral is at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Claunch officiating.
Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
