Robert Schindler

KELSO, Mo. -- Robert Lee Schindler, 78, of Kelso died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Belleville, Illinois, to Raymond and Mildred Schindler. He married Arlene "Holly" Robertson on Sept. 29, 2004.

Robert was a zone manager for McCormick Spice Company and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

He is survived by his wife, Holly of Kelso; three sons, Mark (Angie) Schindler of Willard, Missouri; Michael Schindler of Republic, Missouri; and George Jolly of Jackson; a daughter, Nina (Rick) Whaley of Oak Ridge; seven grandchildren -- including a granddaughter they raised, Megan (Dustin) Salzman of Altenburg, Missouri -- and Breckin, Samantha, Joshua, Caleb, Joshua and Reeanna; and three great-grandsons, Wolfie, Sterling and Christopher.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev, Michael Casteel officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso,

Masks are required for the service.
