ADVANCE -- Robert "Bob" Ritter, 63, of Advance died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home. He was born Aug. 14, 1936, at St. Louis, son of Jacob and Maud Barks Ritter. He and Eula Perry were married Dec. 25, 1955, at Forest Hills, La. He retired after 24 years as a truck driver for Bond Enterprises and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church and was a charter member of Advance Eagles and the American Legion at Chaffee...

ADVANCE -- Robert "Bob" Ritter, 63, of Advance died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1936, at St. Louis, son of Jacob and Maud Barks Ritter. He and Eula Perry were married Dec. 25, 1955, at Forest Hills, La.

He retired after 24 years as a truck driver for Bond Enterprises and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church and was a charter member of Advance Eagles and the American Legion at Chaffee.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Hawkins and Barbara Crossfield, both of Advance, and Angie Ritter of Scott City; two brothers, Carl Ritter Sr. of Advance and the Rev. Fred Ritter of Marble Hill; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a brother and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home at Advance. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ray Placher will officiate, with burial to follow at Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
