MORLEY, Mo. -- Robert H. Ogden, 78, of Morley died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 26, 1935, in Cole Hill, Ark., to James Everett and Mary Keel Ogden. He and Wanda Bennett were married Aug. 11, 1990.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy four years.

He owned and operated Ogden Trucking in Morley, and after he sold the company he drove a truck for Agri-Trans Trucking Co. in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda of the home; a son, Robert E. (Robin) Ogden of Morehouse, Mo.; a grandson he raised, Ryan Ogden of New Hamburg, Mo.; five daughters, Anita (Bob) Evans of Cardwell, Mo., Karen (Frank) Fowler Grass of Jackson, Cindy (Kevin) Armstrong of Jackson, Vickie (Chester) Stroud of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Robyn (Clay) Hill of Blodgett, Mo.; a stepson, William "Junior" (Stephanie) Bennett of Chaffee, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Debra (Jim) Green of Cape Girardeau, Aleshia (Fran) Bader of Scott City and Tonyua (Jon) Townsend of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mary Glen of Millington, Tenn., and Ann Snyder of Glendale, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; eight great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Jim Eskew will officiate, assisted by the Rev. David Thompson. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
