ROBERT O. KASSEL

Funeral service for Robert Oliver Kassel of Warrensburg was held Aug. 20 there, with the Rev. Phil Needles officiating.

Kassel, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1992, at his home.

He was born Sept. 26, 1903, at Egypt Mills, son of John Phillip and Mary Ann Faust Kassel. He and Mabel Mary Gladish were married in 1934, in Cape Girardeau. She died in 1973. He later married Louise Lee Mowery, who died in 1989.

Kassel had been a barber in his father's shop, worked at Auto Tire and Parts, and repaired music instruments in Oklahoma City, Okla. For 30 years he was an electro-plater with the U.S. Air Force and Civil Aeronautics Authority in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Widdifield of Oklahoma City; a sister, Claire Scates of Jackson; three granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
