JACKSON -- Robert E. "Bob" Myer, 66, of Jackson died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 31, 1932, at Jackson, son of Joseph and Josephine Nitsch Myer. He and Dolores Ruesler were married Jan. 18, 1957.

Myer owned and operated Lincoln-McBride Paint and Aluminum Co. from 1975-95.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Board of Trustees, member and past vice commander of American Legion Post 158.

Myer served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kieth Myer of Jackson; three daughters, Pam Wright and Gina Kaminskey of Jackson, Cara Myer of St. Louis; two brothers, Dick and Paul Myer of Jackson; two sisters, Mildred Abbott of Perryville, Daisy Koch of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. An American Legion service will be held at 7.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
