ROBERT M. LAWRENCE

PERRYVILLE -- Robert M. Lawrence, 90, of Perryville died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born Aug. 9, 1908, in Perry County to Charles Lawrence and Caroline Giesler Lawrence. He married Barbara Berkbigler April 29, 1929, in Brewer.

He was a farmer and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary's.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Ann Rousseau and Shirley Ann Blechle, both of Perryville; two sons, Jim Lawrence and Gary W. Lawrence, both of Perryville; three sisters, Neoma Rollet and Stella Mattingly, both of Perryville, and Anna Mae Schmel of St. Louis; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and grandchild.

Visitation will be held 4 to 9 p.m. today, with a parish wake at 7 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation also will be from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a rosary at 9.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
