ORAN, Mo. -- Robert George Lange, 84, of Oran passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Capetown in Cape Girardeau.

He was born in North Star, Ohio, on Jan. 28, 1931, to the late George and Margaret Gelhaus Lange. He married Dolores E. Huelskamp on Nov. 17, 1951, and she survives.

Robert was a self-employed farmer and founder of Langco Tool & Plastics in Oran.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores, of the home; four sons, Jerry (Kaye) Lange of Oran, David (Lanell) Lange of Randles, Missouri, Charles (Vicki) Lange of Marston, Missouri, and Bill (Lana) Lange of Advance, Missouri; five daughters, Diane (Carl) Muecke of Knippa, Texas, Nancy Bell of Cape Girardeau, Lisa (Steve) Crippen of Chaffee and Julie (Russell) Read and Joan Ford, both of Atlanta; a brother, Arthur Lange of Washington; 26 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald C. Lange, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either St. Ambrose Catholic School or Guardian Angel Catholic School.
