Robert Lance Hargraves, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at his home.
He was born May 19, 1917, at Campbell, Mo., son of Robert H. and Ada Hayes Hargraves. He and Hazel M. Harmon were married June 29, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. She died Jan. 20, 2000.
Hargraves was a graduate of Central High School. He was a district manager with Kelly Springfield Tire Co. of Mansfield, Ohio, retiring in January 1982.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, David L. Hargraves of Altenburg, Mo., Charles R. Hargraves of Fredericktown, Mo.; a daughter, Joy Dunn of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to service time.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Ramdial officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with full military rites by Missouri Honor Team.
