Robert Glover, 67, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born May 20, 1947, in Clubb, Missouri, the son of Raymond and Gladys Whitworth Glover. He and Gladys Faye Beard were married in 1968. He married Beverley Counts on Jan. 6, 1994.
Robert retired from Local Carpenters Union 1596. He enjoyed hunting and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Beverley; sons, Ryan Wade and Randy Wayne Glover of Burfordville, Raymond Walter Glover of St. Charles, Missouri, and Shannon Ray Motes of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Stephanie Renee Mehaffy of High Ridge, Missouri; a brother, Rodney Glover of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Caroline Collard, Charlotte Gibson and Jacqueline Thrasher, all of St. Charles, Missouri; and eight grandchildren, Seth Alexander Glover, Jennifer, Alexis, Kayla and Jessica Motes and Benjamin, Patricia and Madeline Mehaffy.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Wilfong and June Kirkpatrick.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lloyd Ray Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery near Cherokee Pass, Missouri.
