ROBERT `GENE' BROWN

PERRYVILLE -- Robert "Gene" Brown, 43, of Perryville died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill.

He was born Nov. 11, 1954, at Perryville, son of Robert L. Brown Sr. and Velma Elder Brown. He and Christy Michaud were married June 14, 1977.

Brown was a self-employed wood hauler. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dusten Gene Brown of Perryville; two daughters, Laura Lee and Mandy Elizabeth Brown, both of Perryville; his parents; two brothers, Mark and Bob Brown of Perryville; and two sisters, Terri Adams of Perryville and Robin Grogg of St. Mary.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at Young & Sons Funeral Home today from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Mary.
