Robert Lee Foster, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at his home.
He was born June 9, 1936, in Vaiden, Mississippi, to James and Bessie Bailey Foster. He and Lillie Brocks were married March 10, 1978, at Cape Girardeau.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He worked at J.A. Weaver in St. Louis before moving to Cape Girardeau. He then worked for the City of Cape Girardeau and retired after more than 25 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.
He was a member of First Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Foster of Cape Girardeau; sons, Keith Allen of St. Louis, Zachary (Dawn) Allen of Jacksonville, Florida, Anthony Green of St. Louis, Anthony William of St. Louis, Walter (Stacey) Jones of Farmington, Missouri, and Michael (Janet) Jones of Las Vegas; daughters, Raeshonda (Durand) Frierson of Houston, Lorie (Anthony) Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jacqueline (Richard) Morris of Solgohachia, Arkansas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debbie Green; five brothers; and five sisters.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
