Robert Elledge, son of the late Lawrence and Norma Elledge, was born Nov. 29, 1955, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at the Southeast Hospital emergency room in Cape Girardeau at the age of 65.
Robert was the former chief of police in Scott City and a member of the Scott City Fire and Rescue. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and a resident of Scott City.
On Feb. 24, 1990, he was united in marriage to Linda Noland in Scott City. She survives of the home in Scott City.
Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Paul (Cindy) Dirden of Scott City; and two granddaughters, Kaileigh and Alyssa Dirden, both of Scott City.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Elledge and Paul Tackett.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating.
