Funeral service for Robert Eugene Litzelfelner of Winter Haven, Fla., was held Wednesday at Crisp-Coon Funeral Home in Winter Haven. The Rev. Stephen Olds officiated, with burial in Rolling Hills Cemetery there.
Litzelfelner, 67, died Saturday, April 2, 1994, at Winter Haven Hospital.
He was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edward L. and Mary L. Litzelfelner. He and Louise Winchester were married Oct. 6, 1951, in Cape Girardeau.
Litzelfelner attended Cape Girardeau schools, and received a degree in business from Southeast Missouri State University. While at the university he was active in Mark Twain fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, band, orchestra and A Cappella choir.
While living here he also played in the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band, and attended Centenary United Methodist Church.
He was a gunnery instructor with the U.S. Army at Ft. Leonard Wood during the Korean War. He was a member of the National Guard in Cape Girardeau, and American Legion Post in Winter Haven.
Litzelfelner lived in Paducah, Ky., where he was a salesman with DuBois Co. After moving to Winter Haven he formed his own company, Preferred Products. When he retired he sold the business and worked part time as a salesman with Business Promotions.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Becky Leblanc of Winter Haven; a son, Alan Litzelfelner of DeLand, Fla.; a sister, Mary Rudesill of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jim Litzelfelner of Troy, Tenn.,and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
