ROBERT E. EDWARDS

CHAFFEE -- Funeral service for Robert Eugene Edwards of Montgomery City will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. The Rev. Edward Spencer will officiate, with burial in Montgomery City Cemetery.

Edwards, 58, died Wednesday, July 12, 1995, at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia.

He was born July 10, 1937, in Chaffee, son of Williams and Mary Humphrey Edwards. He and Betty Jean Cutright were married Aug. 8, 1957, in Cape Girardeau.

Edwards moved to the Montgomery City area in 1963. He worked at Purina Mills 25 years until retiring because of ill health. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Robin Overkamp of Montgomery City, Jacalyn Mueller of Cape Girardeau; two sons, David Edwards of Wellsville, Robert Edwards of Hermann; five brothers, Benny, Ronnie and Connie Edwards of Cape Girardeau, Leon and Freeman Edwards of state of California; four sisters, Alice Geiser of St. Louis. Mildred Buller of state of Alabama, Lorne McCoy of Dexter and Wanda Taylor of Puxico.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
