CAIRO, Ill. -- Robert E. Deckard, 83, of Cairo, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1991, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
He was born June 16, 1908, in Oscar, Ky.
Deckard owned Deckard Radio and TV Sales and Service Co. here, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Cairo Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge here.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ethel Volner; three daughters, Bettie Hahn and Bobbie Jourdan of Evansville, Phyllis Huey of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; a brother, Joe Deckard of Bishop, Calif.; a sister, Irene Rinehart of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo from 5-8 p.m. today. An Elks service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville.
