SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Robert D. Lambert of Sikeston was held Saturday at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Hoover and Pat Hogan officiated, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lamberg, 83, died Thursday, April 22, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1910, in Marion County, Ala., son of Hiram David and Wilhamena Walker Lambert. He and Ruby Shaver were married Sept. 4, 1927, in Cairo, Ill.
Lambert was a retired foreman from International Shoe Co., had been a ranch foreman at Norman Lambert's Farm, and then worked at Lambert's Cafe. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Lambert of Sikeston, Buddy Lambert of Richardson, Texas; three brothers, James Lambert of Cape Girardeau, Het Lambert of Warrior, Ala., William Lambert of Sikeston; two sisters, Freda Grant and Margaret Waters of Sikeston; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
