CHAFFEE -- Robert Aaron Clark, 72, of Pineville, N.C., died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at his home. He was born April 10, 1926, in Pittsfield, Mass., son of Walter and Hazel Betty Clark. Clark served in the U.S. Navy 20 years, retiring in 1968. He then was an equipment operator with the city of Chula Vista, Calif., retiring in 1986...

CHAFFEE -- Robert Aaron Clark, 72, of Pineville, N.C., died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at his home.

He was born April 10, 1926, in Pittsfield, Mass., son of Walter and Hazel Betty Clark.

Clark served in the U.S. Navy 20 years, retiring in 1968. He then was an equipment operator with the city of Chula Vista, Calif., retiring in 1986.

He was a member of Southland Baptist Church in Pineville, and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie; two sons, Dewain Bruce of Ocala, Fla., Robbie Clark of California; two daughters, Sharon Long and Diane McCall of Advance; and a sister, Janie Woods of Pittsfield.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 1 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
