CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Robert Cannon "Bobby" Stovall, 77, of Chaffee passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 23, 1939, in St. Louis to the late Robert Lee and Gladys Morris Stovall. He married Jo Ann Dudley on June 19, 1992, and she survives of the home.
Bob retired as a teacher of industrial arts with Cape Girardeau Vo-Tech School in Cape Girardeau. He belongs to First Assembly of God in Chaffee. Bob was the last charter member of the Lake Girardeau Assembly of God. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959, then served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966.
Survivors include a son, Robert L. (Kim) Stovall of Arnold, Missouri; a daughter, Gale (Royce) Ruddick of Alvord, Texas; a stepson, Garrett (Sonja) Harrell of Morley, Missouri; three brothers, Harry (Donna) Stovall of Hannibal, Missouri, Ronald (Tina) Stovall of Melbourne, Arkansas, and Dale (Dawn) Stovall of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; three sisters, Mary Craft of Whitewater, Glenda Gregory of Sedgewickville, Missouri, and Ruth (Chuck) Baker of Willow Springs, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Stovall, and an infant sister, Barbara Stovall.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Kinder officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with full military honors.
