BENTON, Mo. -- Roger Elwood Lemons Sr., 50, of Benton died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1951, in St. Louis, son of Cleo Elwood and Marjorie Jane Crader Lemons.
Lemons was a self-employed carpenter. Formerly of St. Louis, he moved to the Benton area seven years ago from Alabama.
Survivors include four sons, Roger Lemons Jr. of Williamsville, Mo., Jeffrey Chumbley of Pacific, Mo., Kenneth Goskie of St. Louis, Michael Goskie of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; five daughters, Michelle Abbott of Williamsville, Sabine Buhlinger of Tomah, Wis., Melissa Waldman of Germany, Michelle Scrushy of Alabama, and Lisa Lemons of Cape Girardeau.
He is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Clubb of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Ronald Lemons of St. Louis, Donald Lemons of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Carol Halbert of Cape Girardeau; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, a sister, his stepfather, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston after noon Saturday.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Dugan officiating. Burial will be in Whitener Cemetery at Marquand, Mo.
