Robbie Lee Roberts, 95, of Belleville, Ill., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Swansea Care Nursing Home in Belleville.
She was born Nov. 2, 1909, in Clinton, Ky., daughter of Solon and Monie Tyler Johnson. She and Clyde Roberts were married Feb. 25, 1925, at Jackson. He died Sept. 17, 1979.
Roberts had been employed by Ingram Oil Co. as a cook on a river barge. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church. She moved to Belleville in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Paul Roberts of Belleville; a daughter, Monett May of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Albert Johnson of Oakville, Mo.; and 21 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from noon to service time Monday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Derek Staples officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
