SIKESTON -- Private graveside service for Duretta Jo "Rita" Tinsley of Sikeston was held Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs officiated.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Sikeston was in charge of arrangements.
Tinsley, 69, died Wednesday, April 16, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Muncie, Ind., daughter of Joe and Sara Alice Turley Mathis.
Tinsley was a member of First Baptist Church at Wardell.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Steven Tinsley of Alameda, Calif.; a daughter, Karen Hurley of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Glendle Jackson of Muncie, Clora Mathis of Sikeston; a half sister, Bobbie Woolf of Arnold; and a grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
