RITA M. SCHEFFER

CHARLESTON -- Rita M. Scheffer, 63, Charleston Route 2, died Thursday, April 28, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born June 23, 1930, at Benton, daughter of Zeno Jacob and Loretta Scherer Urhahn. She and John Henry Scheffer were married Feb. 1, 1947. He died May 13, 1993.

Scheffer was owner/operator of Scheffer Printing and Mississippi County Times Newspaper. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church.

Survivors include five sons, John Jr., Gregory and Charles Scheffer of Greensboro, N.C., Stephen Scheffer of Fort Worth, Texas, Richard Scheffer, Charleston Route 2; five daughters, Ruth Kollmeyer of Minneapolis, Minn., Mary Geraghty of Greensboro, Mary Wilson of Charleston, Rose Lund of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Alice Harvell, Charleston Route 2; a brother, Francis Urhahn of New Orleans, La.; a half brother, Tommy Overman of Chaffee; 25 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Henry's Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
