CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Rita Clara Kluesner, 81, of Chaffee died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 9, 1932, at Kelso, Mo., to Paul and Anna Scherer Glastetter. She and Alfred Joseph Kluesner were married June 25, 1955.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Daughters of St. Ambrose and Ladies Auxiliary VFW of Chaffee, and she volunteered at the Chaffee Nutrition Center.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Kluesner of Chaffee; five daughters, Charlotte (Rick) Whitworth, Nancy (Raymond) Spies, Betty (Lary) Glaus and Marlene (Lee) Powers, all of Chaffee, and Pat Fisher of Benton, Mo.; two brothers, John Glastetter of Scott City and Sylvester Glastetter of Kelso; three sisters, Helen Vandeven of Leopold, Mo., Coletta Neff of Waterloo, Ill., and Bertha Seyer of Dutchtown; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Breast Cancer Foundation.
