RICKY THOMPSON

BERNIE, Mo. -- Memorial service for Ricky Dale Thompson of Bernie was held Monday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Mo. The Rev. John Tarter officiated.

Thompson, 42, died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at his home.

He was born March 9, 1958, at Sikeston, son of Maurice and Mary Morgan Thompson. He and Jan Woodall were married June 1, 1981.

Thompson was an over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Malden, Mo.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Zack Thompson of the home; his mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Randy Dukes of Benton, Mo.; two sisters, Melinda Dixon of Sikeston, and Marcia Buzzard of Butte, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his father.
