Lewallen, 46, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at his home.

He was born July 21, 1952, in Jonesboro, Ark., son of Elmer and Jane Lewallen.

Survivors include a son, Charles Lewallen of Bella Vista, Ark.; a daughter, Vicky Lewallen-Horn of Springdale, Ark.; his father of South Bend, Ind.; stepfather, Claude Whaley of Kelso; two sisters, Marilyn Cook of Scott City, Linda Hamilton of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
