Rickey Lee Gregg Sr., 57, of Advance, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, after enjoying a full day of fishing, his passion in life.
He was born May 13, 1954, in Chaffee, Mo., son of Johnnie and Iva Jean Lape Gregg.
Rickey was a veteran of the U.S. Army, honorably discharged in 1977 after seven years of service.
He owned and operated Gregg Construction Co. 26 years and was known for quality service and his keen detail for cleanliness and customer satisfaction. He was a good friend and neighbor. He will be remembered by many for his humor, generosity and willingness to help others.
Survivors include his father, Johnnie Gregg of Marble Hill, Mo.; longtime love, Linda Russell of Advance; a son and daughter-in-law, Rickey Lee and Virginia Gregg Jr. of Hanahan, S.C.; a daughter, Angie Alvarez of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, Gabriel, Samuel, Manuel and Gabriella; three sisters, Diane Durham and Tammy Goodson of Jackson, and Tina Ramsey of Mountain View, Ark.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brad Moore officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park with full military rites.
