CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Richard W. Whitehead, 53, of Charleston died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Bertrand Retirement Center.
He was born Dec. 13, 1949, in Mississippi County, son of William C. and Lucy Pauline Farmer Whitehead. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was married to Judy Smith.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Spencer Whitehead of Charleston; one daughter, Abby Whitehead of Charleston, nine brothers, Charles Whitehead of Jefferson City, Mo., William Whitehead of Emporia, Va., Frank Whitehead of Richmond, Va., Arthur Whitehead of Memphis, Tenn., George Whitehead of Olean, Mo., James Whitehead of Wyatt, M., John, Benjamin and Robert Whitehead, all of Charleston; three sisters, Carla Jo Knaup of Cape Girardeau, Jennye Wedeking of San Diego and Nancy Risko of Ocean Springs, Miss.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Gerald Collier and Bill Bradley officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
