ULLIN, Ill. -- Richard U. Nipper, 78, of Ullin and formerly of Granite City and Alto Pass, died Sunday, July 5, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital at Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Jackson County, Ill., son of Albert A. and Lettie Rebecca Wilmouth Nipper.
He was a retired industrial electrician.
He is survived by two brothers, Merle and Eugene Nipper, both of Granite City; three sisters, Frances Krepps of Cary, Mary Hodges of Bensenville and Eileen Nipper of Island Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home at Alto Pass.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rick Bishop officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
