SIKESTON, Mo. -- Richard S. "Dick" McDougal, 81, of Sikeston died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Bernie, Mo., son of Prince A. and Pansy Johnston McDougal. He and Betty Christian were married June 12, 1955.
McDougal was a retired insurance agent.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Prince McDougal of Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters, Kristi Gibbs of Kansas City, Mo., Tamara McDougal of San Diego, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Cooney officiating. Private burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
