PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Richard "Rick" Martin, 55, of Perryville died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 9, 1953, in Ironton, Mo., son of Dorsey L. and Pearl Flinders Martin.

Martin was a defective- merchandise manager at Buchheit.

Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Lipe; a son, Dustin Martin, both of Perryville; and a brother, Dorsey Martin of Choctaw, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Martin was a member of VFW and AmVets. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with military graveside service provided by VFW Post 4282.
