BERNIE, Mo. -- Richard Q. Lomax Sr., 58, of Bernie died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Sikeston, Mo., son of J.B. and Helen Lumert Lomax. He and Regina Dawn Dirickson were married on Dec. 17, 1994, in Bloomfield, Mo.
Lomax served in the Air Force as an airman first class during the Vietnam War. He had also been a technician and mechanic for the Chevrolet Division of General Motors, and had worked in that capacity at Dan Taylor Chevrolet in Sikeston, Mo., Martindale Chevrolet in New Madrid, Mo., and at Autry Morlan Chevrolet in Dexter, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James A. Lomas without address, and Derrick McMillian of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, Paul Lomax of Parma, Mo.; one sister, Glenda Lomax of Sikeston, Mo.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Caston Countz will officiate. Burial will follow in Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit.
