Richard E. Jones, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Life Care Center of Cape Gir­ar­deau.
He was born June 16, 1939, in Berkley, Mich., son of Robert and Elizabeth Emerson Jones. He and Sheila Jackson were married July 3, 1986, in Waterford, Mich.
Jones had owned and operated Perry Millworks in Uniontown since 1995. He moved to Cape Girardeau in February from Uniontown. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, and Local Lodge PM 2848 in Michigan.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Jones Jr. of Wixom, Mich., Timothy Jones of Waterford; a daughter, Tammy Pearson of Milford, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Allison Bibbo of Forked River, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Shawn Wasson officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
