JONESBORO, Ill. -- Rex V. Egelston, 84, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, March 6, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Oct. 26, 1909, in Trilla, son of Asa Tilford and Arabel Clementine Rhodes Egelston. He and Wilma Loomis were married in 1933 in Charleston, Ill.
Egelston retired from Fruit Belt Farm Supply, and attended the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Don Egelston of Freeburg, Dick Egelston of Carterville; three sisters, Ella Hester of Alma, Maurine Millies of Twin Lakes, Wis., Judy Trantum of Kinmundy; two brothers, Dresden Egelston of Florida, Charles Egelston of Cuba, Mo.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem, with burial in Eastlawn Cemetery there.
