Reva Joyce Arnold Alsup of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Beautiful Savior Home in Belton, Missouri. She was 84 years old.
She was born June 27, 1934, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, daughter of Andrew J. and Marie Seifert Arnold. She was previously married to James J. Alsup on May 26, 1956.
After a long career in the food service industry and caring for young children, she enjoyed retirement with her friends at Shady Brook Mobile Home Park in Cape Girardeau. Before moving to Beautiful Savior Home in Belton, she lived at Greenleaf Estates in Belton and enjoyed her family in Lake Winnebago, Missouri.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Scott) Ward of Deltona, Florida, and Cynthia (Don) Clements of Lake Winnebago; two sisters, Delora "Bootsie" (Wilbert) Schrenk of Granite City, Illinois, and Janet (Ken) Wilson of Ste. Genevieve; a brother, Val (Vicki) Arnold of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; brother-in-law, Harold F. "Mack" McCarty of Cedar Vale, Kansas; and sister-in-law, Rosalie (Bauman) Arnold of Ste. Genevieve. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Allison Clements of Kansas City, Missouri, Brad Clements of Leawood, Kansas, and Michael Ward of Longwood, Florida.
In addition to her parents and former spouse, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Weldie "Jack" Winston; sister, Lavonia "Bonnie" McCarty; brother, W. Frank Arnold; and brother-in-law, Ken Wilson.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Church of Ste. Genevieve in St. Genevieve.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
The family requests memorials to Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
