MATTHEWS -- The Rev. Raymond H. Myrick, 82, of Matthews died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998, at Sells Rest Home.
He was born June 24, 1915, in Rector, Ark., son of Coy and Nancy Johnson Myrick. He and Lounell Riley were married Oct. 15, 1932, at Matthews. She died Jan. 1, 1998.
Myrick was a retired General Baptist minister, pastoring churches from 1954-92, and had also farmed. He was a member and former pastor of Big Ridge General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Coy Myrick of Las Vegas, Nev., Arnold Myrick of Sikeston; three daughters, Joyce Durbin of Piedmont, Peggy Schuerenberg of Matthews, Karen Rhoda of Swansesa, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a half brother and two half sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Rouse officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
