Reta Mantel

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Reta Lou Mantel, 73, of Chaffee passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born Nov. 14, 1945, in Kinder, Missouri, to the late Orvil W. and Ettie Gladys Spears Townsend. She married Michael Lee Mantel on March 1, 1969, and he survives of the home.

Reta was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

She is survived by a son, William (Tina) Mantel of Canton, Ohio, and a sister, Joyce Smith of Puxico, Missouri.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
