BELL CITY, Mo. -- Remona Sue Bess, 71, of Bell City died Monday, April 10, 2006, at her home. She was born Oct. 18, 1934, at Dongola, Mo., daughter of Rosewell and Mona Sitz Bess. BELL CITY, Mo. -- Remona Sue Bess, 71, of Bell City died Monday, April 10, 2006, at her home.

She was born Oct. 18, 1934, at Dongola, Mo., daughter of Rosewell and Mona Sitz Bess.

Bess was a graduate of Bell City High School. She worked 21 years at Inland Shoe Co. in Advance, Mo., and then 12 years at Wohl Shoe Co. in Sikeston, Mo.

Survivors include two brothers, Earl Bess of Cape Girardeau, Steve Bess of Sikeston; six sisters, Barbara Hoosier and Vera Mason of Bell City, Glenda Seagraves of Rector, Ark., Wanda Rayles of Kokomo, Ind., Dorothy Phegley of Perkins, Mo., and Colene McCormack of Lena, Ill.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale McFadlin officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
