CAIRO, Ill. -- Rebia May Tapley, 93, of Cairo died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at her home. She was born May 30, 1909, in Oscar, Ky., daughter of William Burney and Nellie Raley Hendrick. CAIRO, Ill. -- Rebia May Tapley, 93, of Cairo died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at her home.

She was born May 30, 1909, in Oscar, Ky., daughter of William Burney and Nellie Raley Hendrick. She married James H. "Bud" Tapley, who died Oct. 18, 1967.

Tapley was a member of Tigert Memorial Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Marlene Cange of Milton, Fla., Kathy Faulkner of Tamms, Ill.; a sister, Evelyn Ligon of Lebanon, Pa.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter, four brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Msgr. Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Ill.
