Rebecca Ann "Becky" Parkinson, 49, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 12, 1966, in Metropolis, Illinois, to Ronnie and Jeannie Vasseur. She and Doug Parkinson were married Oct. 19, 1985, at Brookport, Illinois.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brookport. Becky owned and operated an in-home child care business.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Parkinson of Cape Girardeau; a son, Greg Parkinson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Cara Parkinson of Cape Girardeau; her father and mother, Ronnie and Jeannie Ballou Vasseur of Brookport; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Ann Parkinson of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Crystal Vasseur of Golconda, Illinois and April (Blake) Denton of Paducah, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Laurie (Alan) Longwell, Union, Missouri, and Donna Parkinson (Glen Monehan) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Pell Cemetery in Brookport.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
