She was born Feb. 18, 1916, at Chaffee, daughter of Oral and Effie Jane Fowler Whitaker. CHAFFEE -- Rebecca Imogene Morehead, 83, of Chaffee died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 18, 1916, at Chaffee, daughter of Oral and Effie Jane Fowler Whitaker.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Chaffee and had retired as an inspector with the Buckstein Pants Factory.

She is survived by a son, Robert Morehead of Kansas City, and a sister, Georgia Cox of Chaffee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. William H. Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
