REBA MYERS

JACKSON -- Reba Reed Myers, 79, of Jackson died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 22, 1918, at Grassy, daughter of Joseph and Effie Mitchell Rea. She and Lester Reed were married in 1935 in Bollinger County. He died in 1982.

Formerly of Marble Hill, she moved to Jackson in 1989. She was a long time member of Church of Christ at Scopus.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Reed of Jackson, Reta James of Wappapello, Evelyn Coomer of Oran; three sisters, Opal Cato of Benton, Ill., Myrtle Carter of Horn Lake, Miss., Wathena Swan of Marble Hill; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Gene and Kelly Francis officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
