Raymond A. Steiner, 86, of Pocahontas died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 11, 1917, at Pocahontas, son of Otto H. and Augusta Petzoldt Steiner.

Steiner farmed all his life. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Pocahontas and had served on the finance board.

Survivors include two sisters, Meta Stroder of Jackson and Flora Limbaugh of Pocahontas, and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Nelson and Gilbert Steiner.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and at Zion Lutheran Church after 9 a.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Mann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Zion Educational or Cemetery Fund.
