MATTHEWS -- Raymond R. Leach, 94, of Matthews died Wednesday, April 20, 1994, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 27, 1900, at Lane, Tenn., the son of Watt Randle and Mary Ann Brooks Leach. In 1950, he married Zola Annabelle Rather, who preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 1985.
He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Bob Palstring of Rockport, Ind.; two daughters, Twyla Stone of Licking and Maryilyn Rudisill of Matthews; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He also was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Don Heitman will officiate, and burial will be in the Matthews Cemetery.
