Raymond Penturf, 62, of St. Charles, died Sunday, May 8, 1994, at the VA Hospital in Columbia.
Penturf grew up in Cape Girardeau, and received a bachelor's degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University.
He taught history and social studies 12 years at Normandy Junior High School, and in 1978 became manager of the Dip and Strip Co. in St. Charles.
Penturf served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his mother, Pearl Femmer, and a sister, Marie Moncado, both of St. Charles.
Funeral mass was held May 11 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Charles, with burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles was in charge of arrangements.
