ULLIN, Ill. -- Raymond Miller, 89, of Ullin died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Feb. 20, 1910, in Wetaug, son of Earl and Berilor Rider Miller. He and Helen Sydenstricker were married Feb. 12, 1932.
Miller was retired from farming, and retired as a welder from the railroad and the atomic plant in Kevil, Ky.
He was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church, Pulaski Alexander County Farm Bureau and Ullin Civic Club. He was named 1988 Conservation Farmer of the Year.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Miller of Dongola; three sisters, Zula Short and Helen Wieland of Freeport, Elizabeth Mowery of Ullin; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. William Gholson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
