BELL CITY -- Raymond M. Phelps, 73, of Bell City died Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff. He was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Sturdivant, son of Warren and Daisy Reed Phelps. BELL CITY -- Raymond M. Phelps, 73, of Bell City died Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Sturdivant, son of Warren and Daisy Reed Phelps.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Phelps of New Lebanon, Ohio; two brothers, Virgil Phelps of Bonne Terre and Bill Phelps of Granite City, Ill.; and a sister, Louise McKennon of Granite City.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. John Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Cato Cemetery near Advance.
