SIKESTON, Mo. -- Raymond Harris, 55, of Sikeston died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 4, 1945 in St. Louis, son of Pernella Williams and the late Jessie Harris.
He attended Charleston High School and was employed by Frucon in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of New Haven Church of God in Christ in Wilson City.
He and Betty Smith were married on Nov. 15, 1968.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; three sons, Frederick Harris of Wyatt, Raymond Dunigan of Atlanta and Kenny Smith of Charleston; four daughters, Martha Harris of Sikeston, Margaret and Fredarika Harris of Wyatt and Bernice Love of Milwaukee.
Also surviving are six brothers, Jessie Harris of Chicago, Stanley Harris of Charleston, Benjamin Harris of Des Moines, Iowa, Robert Foster of Wyatt, Ronnie and Richard Foster of Detroit; four sisters, Dorothy Foster and Scottie Worthy of Detroit, Johnella Johnson and Fannie Foster of Kansas City; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sparks Funeral home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with Bishop Courtney Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
