CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Raymond Golden, 131 S. Henderson, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Fred Faughn will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Golden, 71 years old, died Thursday, March 28, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 19, 1919, at Grand Tower, Ill., son of Louis and Hattie Smith Golden. He and the former Opal Fornkohl were married Sept. 2, 1944, in Benton, Ark.
Golden worked a few years at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, and retired in 1977 after 22 years at Harris Truck and Trailer. He was a member of Scriptural Church and VFW Post. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Danny and Lewis Golden of Cape; four daughters, Judy Reynolds of Ste. Genevieve, Shirley Causey of Bloomsdale, Bonnie Ervin and Lana Riggs of Cape; two brothers, Ralph Golden of Jackson, Rudy Golden of Oriole; four sisters, Wanda Weibrecht of Crosstown, Willia Gerler of Altenburg, Wilma Nunn of Oriole, Winnie Stone of Millersville; a half sister, Cordia Grossman of Dallas, Tex., and 15 grandchildren.
